What is PTSD?

PTSD develops after a terrifying ordeal that involves physical harm or the threat of physical harm.

The person who develops PTSD may have been the one who was harmed, the harm may have happened to a loved one, or the person may have witnessed a harmful event that happened to loved ones or strangers.

    1. Definitely, and people have commented that military PTSD, although publicized and agreed to many as credible, has been critized and snickerd at by some. There is a large stigma connected with PTSD/mental illness, and difficult to explain or defend as horrendous, with misunderstanding of how much it changes you and your family’s life. Flashbacks, triggers, and fear are unheard of to some. Thanks so much for stopping by to comment. 🙂
