Painful Body – Quote

This describes my week of migraines.  You know you have horrific migraines when it hurts too much to wash your hair!

Can others relate to this?

I am a Mental Health Advocate for mental illness Stigma. In 2007, I created the "Living in Stigma" blog, with the purpose and anticipation of educating people about mental illness. Depression is part of this illness, which intertwines with those struggling with PTSD, chronic pain, and other invisible illnesses. I am a chronic migraine sufferer myself, and a sexual and emotional abuse survivor. My passions are writing, poetry, and art. All abuse Survivors are also Warriors.

  1. I once told you that Botox helps me. Now I’ve changed drs. I have to wait for the whole process again, and when the migraine hits, not only can I not wash my hair, but can’t bathe either. That then invites depression in….oh joy…

    1. Just like a hampster on a wheel. It’s amazing how sensitive your scalp is, and the migraines just add to my depression also making me a recluse. Thanks for commenting.

      1. I feel the same. I’m so over this pain, it’s all too much. and it definitely makes the depression worse. Constant pain. I hope yours ease off a little. x

        1. Thanks. I want to try aqua fit again (it’s been years), but if I have problems washing my hair due to pain, I’m afraid jumping around in the pool may not be such a good idea? My aim is to venture out of the house! It’s summertime. 🙂

          1. I so know what you mean. I cannot understand why there is no cure for migraines?? I mean, they make life impossible to live for those that suffer them, and they render me stuck indoors, on the bed! I so understand what you feel and are going through. From one sufferer to the next xxx

    1. Love it! The shower pressure hurt so much, adjusted it as low as I could and even massaging the shampoo hurt! Forget it, after this, I’ll live with unwashed hair until the hurricane clears.

  2. I couldn’t floss my teeth! Because somehow i could feel it in my head. And just the water on my head and moving my hair hurt. I can definitely relate
